Descript is a great tool for recording and editing your episodes! Plus, you can publish your episodes directly to Buzzsprout from Descript!
Importing Episodes from Descript
After you have recorded and edited your episode in Descript just follow these steps to import it into your Buzzsprout account.
- Click the Publish button within the Editor
- Then under Web Link select Buzzsprout
- Descript will direct you to log into your Buzzsprout account
- From inside your Buzzsprout account, you will edit the episode title (if you need to)
- Click Import Episode to push the episode to Buzzsprout!
Pro Tip: Before pushing your episode to Buzzsprout, make sure your settings are set to audio-only. Keep reading to learn more about that setting!Once the upload is finished, you will see the episode unpublished inside your Buzzsprout account. Convert to Audio-Only
Descript supports video elements, but since Buzzsprout doesn't support video content, you will need to convert your episode content before publishing it to Buzzsprout.
- From your Descript account, click the menu icon at the top left of your page
- From the dropdown menu select File, then Set composition to audio-only
Now, your file is ready to be imported into Buzzsprout!
Pushing a video file to Buzzsprout may result in a failed upload, so be sure to convert the file before importing it into your Buzzsprout account. For more on this process, and the steps to change your default settings, check out
